Government of Virgin Islands Signs Contracts for $653,000 to Build Three Social Homes
The government of the Virgin Islands has signed contracts totaling $653,000 to construct three social homes as part of the Housing Recovery Assistance Programme.
The programme had stopped for a while, but Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon.
Vincent Wheatley is happy that the three homes will be built on the sister islands to provide much-needed housing for the beneficiaries.
The three contracts were awarded to K&C Construction, Construction and Engineering Systems (BVI) Limited and a third company for the construction of homes in North Sound, Virgin Gorda and White Bay, Jost Van Dyke.
The minister expressed his satisfaction with the resumption of social homes and hopes to get more funding to create more homes for other people who need assistance.
