9 new COVID-19 cases reported in Cayman Islands, 18 May 2021
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 845 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 14 May 2021. There were nine positive results in travelers.
As at 14 May there have been 73,721 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 40,486 (62% of the estimated population) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 53% have completed the two-dose course.
Public Health thanks the Cayman public for continuing to come forward to take up the vaccine before the 9 June deadline.
