Seventy-Year Delay Leads to Graduation for Retired Lawyer
Arthur Ross, a 71-year-old retired lawyer, earned his bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia after enrolling in 1969 and leaving in 1970s.
He returned to school after being inspired by an opera to study history, which took him 54 years to complete.
Ross joked that he was the "slowest" graduate but he is not the only one as a 101-year-old World War II veteran also graduated 80 years after he was supposed to attend his college graduation.
