Assault

Shortly after 12:00AM today, 19 December, officers responded to a report of a serious assault at a bar on Martin Drive in George Town.

It was reported that several men were involved in an altercation.

A male received injuries to his head, arm and back, and was transported by ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. He has subsequently been discharged.

Shooting

At about 2:10AM today, 19 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of a bar on Seymour Road, George Town.

Officers attended the location and recovered a number of spent shell casings in the vicinity.

No persons appear to have been injured in the incident.
