Elon Musk's Maverick One jet soars to Texas after successful China visit
Elon Musk's private jet, the "Maverick One," departed from Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport in China on Thursday, headed for Austin, Texas.
The tycoon wrapped up a visit to China, where he expressed his hopes to expand business in the world's largest market for electric vehicles.
Musk met with Commerce Minister Wang Wentao in Beijing and praised China's "vitality and promise." The billionaire has extensive business interests in China and has suggested the self-ruled island of Taiwan should become part of China, which has angered Taipei.
This visit by Musk is one of a number of recent visits by Western executives to China since the country reopened its borders.
