Motorists are being reminded to practice safe driving habits every time you get behind the wheel and to drive within the speed limit. The speed limit of school zones when the amber lights are illuminated on weekday mornings and afternoons is 15 MPH. Persons found exceeding the speed limit during these times will be ticketed $40 for every mile over the limit. Anyone found driving more than double the speed limit will be warned for intended prosecution and on conviction will be disqualified for a minimum of 6 months.
