New installation of school zone signs and amber lights in Cayman Brac

The RCIPS and the Cayman Brac Police Station wish to inform the public about the new installation of school zone signs and amber lights in the areas of Creek and Spot Bay Infant School, Creek and Spot Bay Junior School, West End Primary School and the Layman E. Scott Senior High School in Cayman Brac.
Motorists are being reminded to practice safe driving habits every time you get behind the wheel and to drive within the speed limit. The speed limit of school zones when the amber lights are illuminated on weekday mornings and afternoons is 15 MPH. Persons found exceeding the speed limit during these times will be ticketed $40 for every mile over the limit. Anyone found driving more than double the speed limit will be warned for intended prosecution and on conviction will be disqualified for a minimum of 6 months.

Thank you for your co-operation and the part you will be playing in keeping the children of Cayman Brac safe by driving within the speed limit.

Drive safe Cayman Brac!
