The Medical Officer for Health, Dr Samuel Williams-Rodriguez, reports 8 July 310 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported. None were positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease.
As of 8 July, 3 of Cayman’s 201 confirmed
COVID cases remain active and are not yet considered recovered from the virus.
The Public Health Department continues to monitor their condition and provide support as needed.
There are total 201 cases of
COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
197 patients have recovered.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 25,530 tests have been conducted.
Globally there are nearly 11.9 million infected
COVID-19 cases.
