Official Funeral of First Governor
The first Governor of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Athelstan Charles Ethelwulf Long, CBE passed away on 1st August 2019. Information is provided below should members of the public wish to pay their respects.
An official book of condolence is now available at the main entrance of the Government Administration Building during business hours until Wednesday, 14th August 2019, end of business day.
The Union Flag and the Cayman Islands Flag are to be flown at half-mast from Monday, 12th August until sunset Wednesday, 14th August to commemorate the official period of mourning.
Details of the Official Funeral are provided below. The public is welcome to attend.

Venue: Cayman Islands Baptist Church in Savannah
Interment: Eden Cemetery (opposite Pedro St. James)
