The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 1 July that 319 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported.
One was positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes
COVID-19 disease. The positive individual was identified through the screening programme and is asymptomatic. Contact tracing has begun.
So far there are total 201 cases of
COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
193 patients have recovered.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 24,069 tests have been conducted.
Globally there are nearly 10.5 million infected
COVID-19 cases.
