One more COVID-19 case brings Cayman total to 94
1 more positive COVID-19 test results has been returned today in the Cayman Islands out of a total of 558 tests that were run (486 at the Health Services Authority and 72 at Doctor’s Hospital)
Total positives in the Cayman Islands are now 94. The total number of tests run to-date is 5900. The positive test rate is 1.6%
The positive case was a contact with a positive person.
The status of positive cases is as follows:
- 9 are symptomatic.
- 28 are asymptomatic. Of these is the Cayman Brac positive case.
- 2 individuals are in the hospital but not for COVID-related reasons
- 54 have recovered fully.
- 1 has passed away
- There are 54 in the government isolation facilities that will increase today with the arrival of a flight. 104 people are under home isolation.
Cayman will be using antibody testing in Cayman in the near future. There will be more news of this in the short term. This will provide historical information of infections.
