June 12, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 599 COVID-19 tests which have been carried out since yesterday’s press release.
There is one positive result assumed to community acquired case, said John Lee.
So far there are 187 total cases of
COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
The number of symptomatic cases is 3, and there are 67 asymptomatic cases. 115 have recovered.
96 people are in government isolation, and 317 people are in self-isolation at home.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 17,227 tests have been conducted.
John Lee appealed for public, saying that anyone who has
COVID-19 related symptoms should go to get tested, as a measure to stop the spread of the virus.
