The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 24 June, 451 COVID-19 tests carried out since Tuesday’s press conference of which one result detected SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease.
The individual who tested positive is asymptomatic and was picked up through screening; contact tracing has started.
So far there are 196 total cases of
COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
169 patients have recovered.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 21,733 tests have been conducted.
Globally there are 9.3 million infected
COVID-19 cases.
