Panama receives new batch of Pfizer vaccine with 42,120 doses

This is the nineteenth batch of the vaccine against covid-19 from the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer that Panama receives.

This Tuesday, June 15, a new shipment of the covid-19 vaccine from the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer , with 42,120 doses , arrived in Panama.

This is the 19th batch of the Pfizer formula that the country has received.

The doses will be destined for the application of second doses to those over 60 years of age, pregnant women and teachers in circuits 9-1 (Veraguas province), 4-3 and 4-4 (Chiriquí province) and continue with the vaccination of patients chronic


According to the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) in Panama, 1,294,993 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied to date.

January 20: 12,840 doses.
February 17: 67,860 doses.
February 24: 77,220 doses.
March 3: 87,550 doses.
March 10: 42,210 doses.
March 16: 63,180 doses.

May 25: 109,980 doses.
June 1: 40,950 doses.
June 8: 40,950 doses.

It's worth noting that according to Pfizer the vaccine has 91.3% efficacy against COVID-19.
