The Virgin Islands Education System has appointed six new public school principals.
The appointments were made by the Deputy Chief Education Officer (CEO), Mrs.
Orlandette Crabbe, who expressed her delight in the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen the leadership and improve the quality of education in
the Virgin Islands.
The new principals are Ms. NaTasha Marshall, who will lead the Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary; Ms. Ashkisha Maduro, who will take charge of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School; Ms. Janelle Rhymer, who will lead the Leonora Delville Primary School; Ms. Magdalene Alister, who will head the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre; Ms. Akima Powell, who will become the principal of Robinson O’Neal Memorial Primary School; and Mrs.
Candice Bolondia-Fraites, who has been appointed as the assistant principal at the Enis Adams Primary School.

Crabbe emphasized that the appointments are a part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve education in
the Virgin Islands, and encouraged the new principals to continue to pursue their passion in education, expand their experience, and apply innovative ideas to raise the bar and contribute to the success of education in
the Virgin Islands.
The appointments are a testament to the Ministry’s dedication to reimagining education in the Territory.
