The BVI Airports Authority has resumed normal operations at the Territory's airports after briefly closing due to staffing levels not meeting regulations.
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Theodore E.
Burke, apologized for the inconvenience caused to the public and stated that the Board of Directors will support any efforts to ensure the airport operates smoothly.
Works Minister Hon.
Kye Rymer added that there was no industrial action taken by staff and the issues were due to the Authority's inability to meet regulatory requirements.
The Financial Secretary, Jeremiah Frett, committed to supporting the Authority and ensuring the airports provide entrances to
the Virgin Islands while serving as a gateway to the world.
