Supplementary Funds Approved
Members in Finance Committee today, Wednesday, 28 October 2020, approved a net Supplementary Expenditure of $27,090,329 for the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands.
This includes $22,679,533 for equity or capital items, of which $1,875,000 will be used to purchase 3,050 laptops.
Additionally, they approved $716,008 for the Office of the Premier; $2,395,000 for the Office of the Commissioner of Police; $1,455,227 for the Ministry of Employment and Border Control; and $4,961,615 for the Ministry of Community Affairs. All of these entities are under the ministerial responsibilities of the Premier.
Also, $6,117,552 was approved for the Ministry of Financial Services and Home Affairs.
Members are scheduled to return tomorrow, Thursday, 29 October 2020 to deal with four more government entities’ supplementary allocations.
