The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has announced a temporary pause in the acceptance of Visa Waiver applications, effective July 28, 2023.
The service will resume on August 14, 2023.
During this time, no new visa waiver applications will be accepted.
However, applications submitted before the cutoff date will be processed within 10 business days, and applicants will be contacted as normal.
The suspension of the service is aimed at streamlining the visa waiver process and delivering more efficient and reliable services.
The RVIPF apologized for any inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension.
Medical emergencies will be an exception, and applicants must provide appropriate documentation.
The Visa Waiver program allows citizens of certain countries to enter the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) and the British Virgin Islands (BVI) for short visits for business or pleasure without obtaining a visa.
The program is administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in conjunction with the State Department.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is the main police force in the British Overseas Territory of
the Virgin Islands, responsible for law enforcement and public safety in the territory.
The RVIPF works closely with other law enforcement agencies, both locally and internationally, to maintain law and order in the territory.
