The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 623 COVID-19 tests carried out since Friday’s press conference.
Three were positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes
COVID-19 disease, and the people were identified through the screening programme and are not symptomatic.
Two of these are returning travelers and one is presumed to have acquired the condition locally.
So far there are 199 total cases of
COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
189 patients have recovered.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 23,280 tests have been conducted.
Globally there are nearly 10.2 million infected
COVID-19 cases.
