Two new positive COVID-19 cases reported in Cayman
13 July – The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 552 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Friday, 10 July.
Two were positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease, and the people were identified through the screening programme.
One is a returning traveler currently in isolation and the other is presumed to have acquired the condition locally. Both individuals are asymptomatic.
There are total 203 cases of COVID-19 in Cayman Islands.
200 patients have recovered.
One person has died from the virus.
A total of 26,729 tests have been conducted.
Globally there are nearly 13 million infected COVID-19 cases.
